They are so incredibly alive and wise and loving and nurturing and they have so much to say if we take the time to listen. One of my friends went through a similar experience and talked about the root system left by all these trees...all the ways that they communicate...it is so much more than we realize and definitely more than we have the technology to measure and comprehend. I learned this through artist sister friend and teacher, Rachael Rice [https://rachaelrice.com/ ] and also was so enamoured by the great Dame Judi Dench’s film about her love of trees in her garden, which explains this too.. Trees do communicate! Via their mycelium and their vast communication network.. and what seems to be empathy, helpfulness, and caring for each other such as sending nutrients via the fungal mycorrhizal networks. And so, connecting with them as if they are able to tune in to and feel what’s happening in their network, and especially to other trees around them, is a wondrous thing.. love. ❤️
PS Thinking of their ways of communicating with each other and with us, with their connections and their tree-souls, did you ever see this series? The videos are long, but they were made that way for nurturing meditations and communing, especially when we can't get out and bond with them like this in person. I hope they light your heart as much as this music and this piece, mournful as it is, has made mine glow. The music is fading now. What a way to end my computer session for today. Loves!!!!!!
